But I think it depends on how you do it; if you do it by sharing a photo to a Message recipient I think it sends automatically. If it sends, it's sent. We understand that you still see your deleted photos as available to upload to Facebook. From Settings > Facebook > Photos, is All Photos selected? If so, go to your Photos app next and check for a 'Recently Deleted' Album. You can also delete your photos from there.
